SESSION ORCHESTRA
The Guildhall Session Orchestra allows students to compose, conduct, and communicate with musicians. This experience gives students the opportunity to gain exposure with a wide range of instrumentalists. This composition takes inspiration from an open lake lit by the stars and constellations above, "starstruck".
LOVE LIGHT FESTIVAL
This project is a light show in Norwich which allows music to complement light installation animations projected on to various buildings in the area. This composition was inspired by an Aurora, gaining influence from the ethereal, atmospheric nature of it.
ILLUMINTAED RIVER
This project revolves around an installation spanning across the main bridges in London. I decided to give the piece a chugging bass line formed between the cello and double bass, creating a train-like feel. I quote the well known Christmas tune ‘Deck The Halls’, using the original melody as well as developing it and forming my own motifs out of it.
BARBICAN FILM
This year, the Barbican Film Project is based around Early Japanese Silent Film. The project incorporated live musicians as well as an experience using the system 100, a piece of musical hardware.
GAME AUDIO
MASTERING
This project explored a collaboration between game designer and composer. The game was an open world, medieval style game. I composed an ambient, cinematic score to complement the fantasy-like atmosphere of the game.
The mastering project formed a collaboration between individuals, where one party acted as the composer, and the other acted as the mastering engineer. This allowed both sides to hone their skills in different areas of music production.
